Watermelon Day at the Shelter

Tha last day of the Sage Journey to India we brought 5 big watermelons – cut them up and distributed them to all the children.  It was a hot afternoon’s feast and there were many chances to take some great photos of the children – covered in juice and enjoying the treat.

It was a treat for us all.. to see the joy of the children, the fun we had taking pictures, giving the children also the chance to take pics as well .. and simply sharing the joy of giving.

Simple things become very important in this life in the village with these children whose primary need is love and caring.  They get this in bucketloads at the Shikshan Gram Shelter.

Funds Needed For the New Home

Building is going ahead at an unbelievable rate at the new site.  But funds are also required urgently to complete this project.  The deadline for moving in is the end of April – please assist us to reach our goal.  The children urgently need to move out of the cramped quarters they are currently in and be able to spread their wings and have a place to play that is free from the pollution and noise of the road and the railway line.
