Hello, I am Yogita Moon, ‘Mother’ to the 120 children who have found refuge with us.

The rainy season was very heavy in this past year and we had much repairs and renovations to complete since then. We have been very fortunate in the support we have been given for this work and also thanks to the generosity of our supporters we were able to purchase a new school bus to replace our old and worn-out one, ensuring the safety of our children during transportation.

So many of you have helped us with these pressing needs and for this we thank you.

With the dry season and the coming summer hot months, we are faced with a new challenge – water. Our supply has dried up and we are now reliant on tanker deliveries for our water needs. As you can imagine having limited water supplies affects all of our lives. From clothes washing, to bathing, kitchen needs, and watering our precious kitchen garden – water is an essential we cannot do without. We all need to be very aware of conserving each drop.

Our rainy season water supply gushes out of the hillsides and is pumped to the Shelter.

We are actively seeking a solution to this issue and are reaching out to you, our supporters, for help. Whether it be through funding for our existing water supplier or by suggesting and supporting ways for us to harvest rainwater during monsoon season, any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your continued support.
