Priyankas Journey From Shelter To Service From A Little Girl With Dreams To A Proud Police

When Priyanka Bhosle first came to Shikshangram Shelter for Children in 2009, she was only nine years old shy, uncertain, and carrying the weight of a childhood spent in hardship. What she found at Shikshangram was not just a shelter, but a family that believed in her potential.

At Shikshangram, Priyanka received care, education, and emotional support that helped her rediscover her confidence. The nurturing environment and strong value-based education encouraged her to dream big. She excelled in academics and extracurricular activities, participating in dance, drama, and sports that built her discipline and leadership skills.

Guided by Shikshangrams mentors, Priyanka developed a deep desire to serve and protect society. With unwavering determination, she prepared for the Mumbai Police recruitment exams, studying early mornings and late nights  a testament to her resilience and the spirit that Shikshangram cultivates in every child.

Today, Priyanka proudly serves as a police officer in Mumbai, wearing her uniform with dignity and pride. She continues to visit Shikshangram, inspiring younger children with her story of perseverance, courage, and gratitude.

Shikshangram didnot just give me food and education it gave me purpose and a family that never stopped believing in me.
 Priyanka Bhosle, Mumbai Police
